This Office Memorandum from the Department of Personnel & Training directs cadre units of the Central Secretariat Service Scheme (CSSS) to provide details regarding the weeding out of Annual Confidential Reports/Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (ACRs/APARs) of retired officers. It follows up on a previous memorandum dated June 24th, 2014, noting that information has only been received from ten cadre units. The memorandum requests details of ACRs/APARs older than five years for which handover requests exist, as well as details of any pending disciplinary or court cases. A ‘Nil’ report is also acceptable if no such information exists. A deadline of July 16th, 2014, is set for responses, after which a lack of response will be interpreted as a ‘Nil’ report. The memorandum is addressed to Under Secretaries (Admn.) of all CSSS cadre units.

Sub:- Weeding out of files/records – reg.
The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s O.M. of even no.dated $24^{\text {th }}$ June, 2014 regarding weeding out of ACRs/APARs of retired officers of CSSS and to state that requisite information has been received from only 10 cadre units/sub-cadre units ( i.e. M/o Mines, DoPT, D/o ARPG, D/o F\&PD, CWC, M/o WR, NSCS, HRD, Home and Defence.
2. Concerned cadre units are requested to intimate the details of ACRs/APARs of more than five years vintage in respect of which requests, if any, have been received for handing over from the concerned retired officer. Details of pending disciplinary/court cases may also be furnished. In case the requisite information being ‘Nil’ the same may also be intimated.
3. In case, no information is received from a cadre unit by $16^{\text {th }}$ July, 2014, it would be presumed that the requisite information pertaining to that cadre unit is ‘Nil’.
