This notification announces the transfer of Ms. Surabhi Malik, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer (GJ:12), from the Gujarat cadre to the Punjab cadre. This transfer is based on her marriage to Mr. Sandeep Kumar Garg, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer (PB:12). The transfer is executed under the powers conferred by sub-rule (2) of Rule 5 of the Indian Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954, with the consent of both the Gujarat and Punjab governments.

भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा (संवर्ग) नियमावली, 1954 के नियम 5 के उपनियम (2) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए एवं गुजरात और पंजाब सरकारों की सहमति से केन्द्र सरकार एतद् द्वारा श्री संदीप कुमार गर्ग, भारतीय पुलिस सेवा (पी.बी.:12) से विवाह होने के आधार पर सुश्री सुरभी मलिक, भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा (जी.जे. : 12) को गुजरात संवर्ग से पंजाब संवर्ग में स्थानांतरित करती है ।
