In a recent administrative move, two promising Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, Shri Rajdeep Singh and Ms. Rupinder Kaur, have been reassigned to the Himachal Pradesh cadre. Shri Rajdeep Singh, originally from the 2021 batch of the Tripura cadre, and Ms. Rupinder Kaur, also from the 2021 batch but of the Karnataka cadre, will now serve in the hill state. This transfer has been facilitated on compassionate grounds, specifically due to marriage, reflecting the government’s policy to accommodate officers in personal circumstances while adhering to the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules. The move required the explicit agreement of the state governments of Tripura, Karnataka, and Himachal Pradesh, ensuring a smooth transition for both officers.

NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (2) of Rule 5 of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954, and with the concurrence of the State Governments of Tripura, Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh, the Central Government hereby transfers Shri Rajdeep Singh, IAS (TR:2021) and Ms. Rupinder Kaur, IAS (KN:2021) from Tripura cadre and Karnataka cadre respectively to a third cadre i.e. Himachal Pradesh, on grounds of marriage.
