This Office Memorandum announces a professional development workshop for Senior Private Secretaries/Private Secretaries (Sr. PPS/PPS) of the Central Secretariat Service (CSSS). The workshop, conducted by the ISTM, will take place from December 15th to December 26th, 2008. Cadre authorities are instructed to release the nominated officers for the compulsory training, and to provide necessary logistical support, including advance funds for a study tour. Confirmation of release and bio-data must be submitted by November 30th, 2008. The annexure lists the names and cadre details of the officers nominated for the workshop.

Subject : Training Programme for the professional development of Sr. PPS/PPS of the CSSS at the ISTM from 15/12/08 to 26/12/08.
The undersigned is directed to say that Sr.PPS/PPS of CSSS whose names are given in Annexure have been nominated to participate in the Professional Development Workshop being conducted by the ISTM during the period from 15/12/2008 to 26/12/2008. It is requested that these officers may please be relieved of their duties with the direction to report to Shri K S. Kumar, Joint Director, ISTM, Administrative Block, JNU Campus (Old), New Delhi-110067 at 9 A.M. on 15^{th } December, 2008.
- Cadre Authorities are requested to ensure that the officers nominated to the above workshop are released in time. The training is compulsory and no request for exemption of the nomination of the officer either from the Ministry/Department or the officer concerned shall be entertained by this Department or the Institute.
- As part of the Workshop, the participants would be taken on a study tour. In order to meet the expenditure for the tour all the administrative Ministries/Departments would require to sanction an advance. The amount of advance to be sanctioned would be intimated directly to the Ministry/Department of the participating officers by ISTM in due course.
- Confirmation with regard to the release of the officers along with their respective bio-data may please be sent to Shri K S Kumar, Joint Director, ISTM, New Delhi by 30^{th } November, 2008 at the aforesaid address with a copy to the undersigned.
