Subject: Training of Non- Statutory Departmental Canteens employees on Food Safety & Standards norms by Food Safety & Standards Authority of India.
The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s OM of even dated 30.05.2016 wherein all Ministries/Departments were requested to take necessary action for procuring License under Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 and Rules & Regulations framed thereunder.
- In order to facilitate implementation of Food Safety and Standards Act 2006, FSSAI has agreed to organize training of employees of Non-Statutory Departmental Canteens. Accordingly, all the Ministries/Departments are requested to approach FSSAI (Contact No. 011-23231681) and nominate canteen employees for undergoing training program being organized by FSSAI under intimation to this Department.
