This Office Memorandum details the establishment of an Anomaly Committee to address issues arising from the implementation of the Seventh Central Pay Commission’s recommendations. It clarifies the definition of ‘anomaly’ to include situations where the Official and Staff Sides believe vertical and horizontal pay relativities have been disrupted. The definition now encompasses cases where recommendations contradict the Commission’s own principles without justification, where pay fixation results in lower amounts than previously entitled, and reiterates the disruption of pay relativities. The memorandum instructs all Ministries/Departments and relevant stakeholders to take note of the updated definition and directs the NIC to publish the order on the DoPT website.
