Seniority Computation for IAS Officers of AGMUT Cadre – 2020 Select List

This order details the computation of seniority and year of allotment for officers appointed to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) of the AGMUT (Union Territory) Cadre from the State Civil Service, based on the 2020 Select List. The computation is done according to the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987, considering years of qualifying service with a defined weightage formula. The order specifies the placement of these officers relative to existing IAS officers of the 2013 and 2014 batches within the AGMUT Cadre. It also notes that inter-se-seniority with other segments will be determined later by the Cadre Controlling Authority. The order is being communicated to the Home Ministry, Accountant General, and relevant DoPT units for implementation and website upload.

ORDER

Consequent upon appointment from State Civil Service to IAS of AGMUT (UT) Cadre on the basis of inclusion of their names in the Select List of 2020 vide DoPT Notification No. 14015/27/2021-AIS(I)-B dated 27.02.2024 and on receipt of the proposal from the M/o Home Affairs vide their OM No. 14016/05/2021.UTS-I dated 07.03.2024, the seniority / year of allotment of these Officers has been computed under Rule 3(3)(ii) of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987 as amended vide Notification No. 14014/04/2011-AIS-I(A) dated 18.04.2012 and other relevant rules as amended from time to time as per following weightage formula:

Collector or equivalent. 31st December of the year for which the meeting of the committee to make selection was held to prepare the Select List on the basis of which the said officers were appointed to IAS (Fractions if any, are to be ignored) i.e. 31.12.2020. Total weightage in years in terms of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987 as amended from time to time, till date. Year of allotment entitled. 3. Inter-se-seniority / year of allotment of the above officers with respect to officers of other segments would be determined later on as and when the inter-se-seniority of segments of AGMUT Cadre is decided by the Cadre Controlling Authority.
