Subject: Rotational transfer of USs with more than 10 years of service in the same Ministry/ Department
The undersigned is to say that vide this Department’s O.M. of even number dated 29th March 2011 the details of Under Secretaries who have completed more than ten years in the same Ministry/ Department in whatever capacity was sought to enable this Department to transfer those officers. Ministries/ Departments were also requested to furnish the posting details of such officers (starting from their initial appointment as Assistant/PA till date) to decide their posting on transfer. The information has since been received from Ministries / Departments and has been compiled. In terms of Rotational Transfer Policy applicable to CSS officers, those who are due for superannuation within two years are not to be covered under the RTP. Accordingly, after excluding those officers who are due for superannuation within two years, it is proposed to transfer the following Under Secretaries who have completed 10 years and more service in the same Ministry/ Department:

- Ministries/ Departments and officers concerned may check the information and bring to the notice of this Department urgently if any other US with more than 10 years of service (excluding those who are due for superannuation within two years as on 1.9.2011) who has been left out or if there is any other error in the above list. If any name comes to the notice of this Department subsequently, the Ministry/ Department which failed to furnish the correct information will be held responsible.
- The officers indicated in para 1 above are requested to indicate their preference for posting in the enclosed format which should reach CS.1 Division by 7.10.2011. Seeking option is only to assist this Department in deciding the posting and this should not in any way be construed as a right for claiming posting of choice.
