Rotational Transfer of Under Secretaries – Reminder

This office memorandum from the Department of Personnel & Training serves as a reminder to Ministries and Departments regarding the rotational transfer of Under Secretaries with five or more years of service as of January 1, 2013. The Department notes a lack of response from many Ministries/Departments concerning additions/omissions to the list of officers covered under the rotational transfer policy (RTP), as well as missing personal information forms with posting preferences. Ministries are requested to confirm the circulated list, verify data in the Web Based Cadre Management (WBCM) system, and submit officer preferences by May 20, 2013. The document also lists the Joint Secretaries of various Ministries/Departments to whom this communication is addressed.

OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Rotational Transfer of Under Secretaries with five years or more service in the same Ministry/Department as on 01.01.2013.

The undersigned is to refer to this Department’s O.M. of even number dated the April, 2013 on the subject mentioned above (available at persmin.nic.in $\rightarrow$ Department of Personnel \& Training $\rightarrow$ Central Secretariat $\rightarrow$ CSS $\rightarrow$ Rotational Transfer) and to say that no response has been received from a large number of Ministries/Departments regarding addition/omission in the list of USs covered under RTP. Further, personal information form inter-alia for preference for posting after verification of data in the web based cadre management (WBCM) system (hosted at http://10.21.145.125) has also not been received in most of the cases. In the absence of response from Ministries/ Departments, this Department is not in a position to proceed further. It is, therefore, once again requested that the list circulated may be confirmed, data verified in the WBCM in respect of officers covered under rotational transfer and preferences of officers forwarded to this Department without any further delay and in any case not later than 20.05.2013.
