This Office Memorandum details the rotational transfer of Deputy Secretaries and Directors of the Central Secretariat Service (CSS) who have completed five years or more in a Ministry/Department as of January 1, 2012. The transfer is scheduled for June 2012, excluding officers due for superannuation within two years. Ministries/Departments are requested to verify the enclosed lists (Annexures I & II) and officers are asked to submit their posting preferences (Annexure III) by June 4, 2012. The submission of preferences does not guarantee a specific posting. The document also includes lists of Directors and Deputy Secretaries covered under the rotational transfer process, along with their postings and dates.

OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: Rotational Transfer of Deputy Secretary and Director of CSS with more than 5 years of service as on 01.01.2012 in the same Ministry/Department.
The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s OM No. 4/12/2011-CS-I(D), dated 2nd March, 2012 and to say that as per the schedule prescribed in the OM for rotational transfer of CSS officers during the year 2012, Deputy Secretaries and Directors who have completed 5 years or more in a Ministry/Department as on 01.01.2012 are to be transferred in the month of June, 2012.
- After excluding those officers who are due for superannuation within two years, it is proposed to transfer the Directors and Deputy Secretaries who have completed more than 5 years in the same Ministry/Department as on 01.01.2012, as per Annexure-I and Annexure-II respectively.

Ministries/Departments and officers concerned may also check the enclosed information and bring to the notice of this Department urgently if any other Deputy Secretary and Director with more than 5 years of service (excluding those who are due for superannuation within two years as on 01.01.2012 has been left out or if there is any other error/omission in the list.

The officers whose name figure in the annexure are requested to indicate and forward their preferences for posting in the format enclosed as Annexure-III so as to reach CS-I(D) Section by 04.06.2012. It may be noted that seeking option is only for the purpose of assisting this Department in deciding the posting and this should not in any way be construed as a right for claiming posting of choice.
