This Office Memorandum announces a revised procedure for appointing Chief Vigilance Officers (CVOs) within Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) and other organizations under central Ministries/Departments. It refers to a previous OM dated April 28, 2017, and clarifies that as proposals for CVO appointments will now be handled by the EO Division in the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the requirement for obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the EO Division for officers applying for CVO positions is no longer necessary. This change aims to streamline the appointment process.
