This notification amends the Residents of the State of Jammu and Kashmir (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit for Recruitment to Central Civil Services and Posts) Rules, 1997. Specifically, it updates the year ‘1999’ to ‘2001’ within sub-rule (3) of rule 1. This change impacts the upper age limit relaxation for recruitment to central civil services and posts for residents of Jammu and Kashmir. The rules come into effect upon publication in the Official Gazette. The notification is issued under the authority of the Constitution and after consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India.
