It’s important to note that while the 1977 rules, originally published as G.S.R. 649(E) on October 18, 1977, are no longer in effect, any actions taken or omitted under those rules prior to this rescission remain valid. सा.का.नि. 18(अ).—अखिल भारतीय सेवा अधिनियम, 1951 (1951 का 61) के खण्ड 3 के उप-खण्ड (i) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, केन्द्र सरकार संबंधित राज्य-सरकारों से परामर्श करके दिनांक 18 अक्टूबर, 1977 के सा.का.नि. 649(अ) के तहत भारत के असाधारण राजपत्र भाग II, खण्ड 3, उप-खण्ड (i) में प्रकाशित, भारतीय पुलिस सेवा (विशेष भत्ता) नियमावली, 1977 को निरस्त करती है । इसमें, निरस्तीकरण से पूर्व विलोपित की गई अथवा विलोपित की जाने वाली बातें शामिल नहीं हैं ।

G.S.R. 18(E).-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the All India Services Act, 1951 (61 of 1951), the Central Government, after consultation with the Government of the States concerned, hereby rescinds the Indian Police Service (Special Allowance) Rules, 1977 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide number G.S.R. 649(E), dated the 18th October, 1977, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
