Subject: Rescheduling of All India Civil Services Cricket Tournament 2022-23 – regarding

Reference is invited to CCSCSB’s Circular of even number dated 9.12.2022 on the above mentioned subject and to state that Chandigarh UT vide their letter No.Sports-SS1-DA4-2023/390 dated 6.1.2023 (copy enclosed) has informed that the Department is currently busy in formulating a Sports Policy, therefore, the Department is unable to organize the AICS Cricket Tournament 2022-23 from 2.2.2023 to 9.2.2023.

  1. Now AICS Cricket Tournament 2022-23 will be organized from 12.3.2023 to 19.3.2023.
  2. All other information remains unchanged.

2) This is to inform you that the Department is currently busy in formulating a Sports Policy. Therefore, the Department is unable to organize the All India Civil Services Tournament from dated 02.02.2023 to 09.02.2023. This tournament will be organized by the Department from dated 12.03.2023 to 19.03.2023.

Subject: All India Civil Services Cricket Tournament 2022-23.

Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board (CCSCSB) in collaboration with Government of Punjab is organising All India Civil Services Cricket Tournament 2022-23. The details of the tournament are as under:-

  1. The rules for All India Civil Services Tournaments indicating eligibility criteria, composition of Team Rules of games is available on the website at http://dopt.gov.in/about-us/wings-or-division-in-dopt/ Welfare-divisions.
  2. The States/UTs and Regional Sports Boards are requested to send their team for the above All India Civil Services Tournament.
  3. It may be ensured that the entries are submitted within prescribed time limits. Teams are requested to make their own arrangements for accommodation and transportation.
  4. List of players along with photocopy of their Identity Card should be authenticated by the authorized officer under his signature & seal.
  5. All the participants shall carry individual Identity Card/Identity Slip/Age Proof for verification of eligibility criteria by the Organizing Committee/Representatives of the Board at the venue of the All India Civil Services Tournament.
  6. It is further stated that matches for 3rd place must be organized.

  1. Managers’ meeting is likely to be held on the evening of a day before the commencement of the tournament.
  2. Addresses, Telephone Numbers, E-mail Addresses may be indicated by the participating State/UT/RSB.
  3. Every participating team may bring two flags representing their States/UT/Regional Sports Board with them.
  4. Every member of the team must report at the venue half an hour before the match for participating in the tournament as scheduled. Failure to do so shall be treated as an act of indiscipline. All the participants shall maintain strict discipline on and off the venue of the tournament. Any act of indiscipline/misbehavior/misconduct will attract the provision of CCS (Conduct) Rules since Government Employees are treated ‘ON DUTY’ during All India Civil Services Tournament.
  5. The following categories of employees are not eligible for participation in AICS Tournaments:-

(a) Uniform personnel in Defence Services/Para Military Organizations/Central Police Organization/Police/RPF/CISF/BSF/ITBP/NSG etc.

(b) Employees of Autonomous bodies/undertaking/Public Sector Banks even though administratively controlled by the Central Ministries.

(c) Casual / Daily wages workers.

(d) Employees attached to offices on temporary duty.

(e) A newly recruited employed who has put less than 6 months in regular establishment/ service

  1. Any information regarding change in dates/venue/cancellation etc. about the AICS tournament will be available on www.dopt.gov.in. All the teams are requested to check about any possible change before starting their journey.
  2. Referees’/Umpires’ decision shall be final and binding on the competing teams.
  3. The entries in the prescribed proforma enclosed at Annexure I (duly filled) may be sent to the Nodal Officers (before last date of receipt of entries i.e. 27.1.2023) along with photocopy of ID card as per details given below:-
