Representation Regarding Assistant Teacher’s Mother’s Mental Illness Approved

A representation has been accepted concerning Shri Santosh Kumar Mishra, an Assistant Teacher, whose mother is suffering from mental illness. This decision was made by the State Advisory Committee following a review of the Medical Board’s report and the opinion of the Medical Expert. The Ministry of Personnel, P.G. and Pensions, Department of Personnel & Training, has approved the acceptance of the representation under the guidelines for Medical Hardship. Consequently, Shri Mishra’s final allocation has been revised to Uttar Pradesh, and the officer concerned has been apprised of this development.

Sir,
I am directed to refer to the subject noted above and to say that the State Advisory Committee in its meeting held on 24.01 .2010 considered the representation of Shri Santosh Kumar Mishr, Assistant Teacher (Petitioner No. 2) in compliance of the Hon’ble High Court’s directions in Writ Petition No.5932(S/S) filed by Yagyadev Tripathi \& another on the grounds that his mother is suffering from mental illness. On the basis of report of the Medical Board and opinion of the Medical Expert present in the meeting, the Committee, recommended to accept his representation under the guidelines on Medical Hardship.

The Government of India has accepted the representation of Shri Santosh Kumar Mishr, Assistant Teacher and accordingly his finall allocation is revised to Uttar Pradesh. The officer concerned may kindly be apprised accordingly.
