Relieving of Section Officers – Implementation of CSS Rules

R

This order from the Department of Personnel & Training addresses the delayed relieving of Section Officers who were transferred to various Ministries/Departments. It notes that despite multiple reminders, some Cadre Units have failed to relieve officers within the stipulated 45 days as per CSS Rules, 2009. Consequently, the order directs that these officers are now relieved from their current postings with effect from August 23rd, 2013, and instructs them to report to their new departments immediately. It also clarifies that a formal relieving order from the current department is not required and warns of potential punitive action for non-compliance. The order includes a list of officers affected by this directive and specifies instructions regarding their salaries and joining procedures.
