The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has declined the request from the Ministry of Environment & Forests for an extension of inter-cadre deputation for Shri O.V.R. Reddy, IFS (AGMUT:97), beyond his fifth year. This decision was made as the proposed extension does not align with the existing policy. The communication has been copied to various officials and departments, including the PMO, Cabinet Secretariat, Shri O.V.R. Reddy himself, the Home Minister’s office, the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT), and for uploading on the DOPT website.
