ORDER

The Government of Tripura vide their letter No. F.2(13)-GA (P&T)/08(Vol-II) dated 06.03.2017 have sent a proposal for re-fixation of seniority SCS officers of Tripura cadre promoted to IAS against the Review Select Lists of 2007-A, 2008 and 2009 in compliance with the directions of Hon’ble CAT Guwahati Bench vide order dated 19.11.2012 in OA No.141 of 2012 filed by Shri Karnamani Das and order dated 14.12.2012 in OA No.200/2012 filed by Shri Narayan Das to appoint/re-appoint the members of the Civil Service of Tripura to the IAS against the vacancies determined by Government of India for Review Select Lists from 2007A, 2008 and 2009.

  1. These officers have been appointed to IAS vide this Department’s Notification No. 22012/192/2012-AIS(I) B dated 20th October, 2016.
  2. The Seniority /year of allotment of these officers has been computed under Rule 3(3) (ii) of IAS (Regulation of Seniority), Rules 1987 as amended from time to time. As per relevant rules weightage works out as under:-

4.1 As per Rule 4 of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987, the officers whose names have been mentioned at SI. No. 1 to 5 of the select list of 2007A shall be placed in order of seniority mentioned above in 1999 batch of Tripura cadre.

5.1 As per Rule 4 of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987, the officers whose name have been mentioned at SI. No. 1 to 3 of the select list of 2008 shall be placed in order of seniority in 2000 batch of Tripura cadre.

No. 2 i.e. Shri Karnamani Das has been restricted as per Rule 4(ii) of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules. 1987. 6.1 As per Rule 4 of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987, the officers whose name have been mentioned at SI. No. 1 to 2 of the select list of 2009 shall be placed in order of seniority in 2002 batch of Tripura cadre.
  • The order may be conveyed to the concerned officers.
  • This issues in supersession of this Department’s order of even number dated 09.10.2012.
