This Office Memorandum addresses an inadvertent error in a previous nomination of candidates – Shri Surdeep Singh and Ms. Sushma Narang – to the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT). Both candidates, originally borne on the cadre of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), were incorrectly nominated to DOPT for appointment as Stenographer Grade ‘A&B’ (Merged) of CSSS. The memorandum details the re-nomination of these candidates back to their original cadre, MHA, in line with established procedures. Additionally, Shri A.Y. Anand Raj was also re-nominated, with MHA as the nominating cadre. All other terms and conditions from the previous O.M. dated 16.3.2009 remain unchanged, and relevant authorities are instructed to take necessary action.

Subject: Section Officer/Stenographers (Gr.B/Gr.I) Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2005-Nomination of Qualified candidates of Steno Gr. ‘A&B’ (Merged) of CSSS – Allocation of qualified candidates reg.
The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s O.M. of even number dated 16.3.2009 on the above mentioned subject and to say that it has been brought to the notice of this Department that Shri Surdeep Singh and Ms. Sushma Narang, borne on the cadre of MHA, have inadvertently been shown as belonging to the cadre of DOPT and, therefore, nominated to the cadre of DOPT for their appointment as Steno Gr. ‘A&B’ (Merged) of CSSS. Whereas as per established procedure being followed for nomination of candidates, these candidates should have been retained in the cadre of MHA itself.
- In view of the position explained above, it has been decided to make the following re-nomination of the said candidates for appointment to the Stenographer Grade ‘A&B’ (Merged) of CSSS for the Select List-2005 in partial modification of this Department’s O.M. ibid dated 16.3.2009:
