Rajya Sabha Starred Question No. 434 – Exclusion of Holidays During Earned Leave

R

This document concerns a follow-up regarding a Rajya Sabha Starred Question (No. 434) concerning the exclusion of holidays when government servants take earned leave. The Bureau of Public Enterprises, under the Ministry of Finance, initially requested information from Chief Executives of Public Sector Undertakings. This information is now requested by the Department of Personnel & Training to fulfill an assurance made in the Rajya Sabha. The core question revolves around whether deductions are made for Saturdays and Sundays falling within periods of earned leave, and if these days are excluded from the total earned leave taken by employees. The document includes extracts from the original question and requests for leave rules to be submitted for reference.
