Dear Dr. Sarkar,

The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), formerly DOEACC Society, is a 100% owned autonomous scientific society of the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India. NIELIT is actively engaged in the development of qualified human resources in the areas of IT; Electronics; Communication technologies; Hardware; Cyber Law; Cyber Security; IPR; GIS; Cloud Computing; ESDM; e-Governance and related verticals. NIELIT offers courses both in the formal as well as the non-formal sector of education. It is a national examination body which accredits training institutes/organizations for the conduct of courses in IT in the non-formal sector.

1. Over the last three decades, NIELIT has established itself as a premier organization having pan-India presence through a network of 29 own Centres/Extension Centres (Annexure) and a network of about 850+ accredited training institutions, besides a network of about 5000+ facilitation centres engaged in IT Literacy Programmes, such as CCC (Course on Computer Concepts) and BCC (Basic Computer Course), examinations of which are conducted by NIELIT in the Online mode.

2. NIELIT has also developed expertise in the conduct of nation-wide examinations (in both, online and conventional modes), not only for assessment and certification purposes, but also for recruitment of technical manpower, on behalf of Government departments. In the recent past, NIELIT had successfully conducted recruitment examinations on behalf of DeitY and its attached offices, such as NIC, STQC etc. NIELIT also recruits and deploys project based technical manpower to various Government departments, in contractual mode.

3. In view of the above and considering the vast experience of NIELIT as a third-party agency for assessment / recruitment services including deployment of technical manpower, you may consider assigning NIELIT the responsibility of providing manpower for various Mission Mode Projects planned by your department.
