This office order details the promotion of two Grade I (Under Secretary) officers, Shri K.C. Kedia and Ms. Ganga Vaidyanathan, from the Central Secretariat Service (CSS) to the position of Deputy Secretary on a regular basis. Shri Kedia is being posted to the Water Resources department, while Ms. Vaidyanathan will continue in the Power department. The Ministry of Power is asked to facilitate Shri Kedia’s immediate promotion without waiting for a replacement, with a separate order to follow regarding his substitute. These promotions are contingent upon the outcome of a pending case (OA No. 1864/2009) before the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT).

OFFICE ORDER
In partial modification of this Department’s Office Order of even number dated 4.11.2010, consequent upon inclusion in the Selection Grade (Deputy Secretary) Select Lists of CSS for the year 2010, the following Grade I (Under Secretary) officers of CSS are hereby promoted as Deputy Secretaries of CSS on regular basis and posted to the Ministry/Department mentioned against their names:

- The above promotions of officers are subject to final orders of Hon’ble CAT in OA No.1864/2009 filed before the Hon’ble CAT, Kolkata by Ms. Garima Singh vs. UOI & Ors (since transferred to CAT, Principal Bench, New Delhi).
