Consequent upon inclusion of his name in the Selection Grade (Deputy Secretary)
Select List of Central Secretariat Service (CSS) for the year 2009, the competent
authority has approved grant of pro-forma promotion as Deputy Secretary
w.e.f.18.06.2010 under the Next Below Rule to Shri R Vijay, Under Secretary, CSS
presently working as Director in Food Safety and Standard Authority of India (FSSAI) on
deputation basis. His pay etc. will be regulated in terms of OM No. 6/8/2009-Estt. (Pay-
II) dated 17.6.2010. The benefit of proforma promotion to Shri R Vijay will, however, be
subject to outcome of the decision on OA No.1864 of 2009 pending before the Hon’ble
CAT, Calcutta in the matter relating to Ms.Garima Singh Vs DOP&T.
