This notification announces the appointment of Shri Vinay Mittal, a Member of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), to perform the duties of the Chairman of UPSC. This appointment is effective from the forenoon of January 22, 2018, and will continue until further orders or until his term as a Member ends on June 19, 2018, whichever is earlier. The appointment is made by the President of India under Article 316(1)(a) of the Constitution of India. The notification is issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India, and dated January 12, 2018.

के पद का कार्य निर्वहन हेतु 22 जनवरी, 2018 के पूर्वाहन से अगले आदेशों तक, अथवा सदस्य के
रूप में 19 जून, 2018, को उनकी कार्यावधि तक, जो भी पहले हो, के लिए नियुक्त करते हैं।
