This document communicates the approval for the premature curtailment of Smt. Archana Ramasundram’s deputation tenure. She has been appointed as Director General, NCRB, with the post of Director temporarily upgraded to the Director General level on a personal basis for two years or until September 30, 2017, whichever comes first, pending the outcome of a Supreme Court writ petition. The CBI is requested to relieve her immediately for this new role. Approval of the competent authority in the Central Government is conveyed to the premature curtailment of deputation tenure of Smt. Archana Ramasundram, IPS (TN:80), Additional Director, CBI and her appointment as Director General, NCRB in the pay scale of Rs.75,500-80,000/- by temporarily upgrading the post of Director, NCRB to that of DG level on personal basis for a period of two years w.e.f. the date of her assumption of charge of the post or till 30th Sept. 2017, i.e. the date of Smt. Ramasundaram’s superannuation or until further orders whichever is the earliest, subject to the outcome of the Writ Petition pending in the Supreme Court.
- CBI is requested to relieve the officer immediately to enable her to take up her new assignment.
