This office memorandum details the process for posting Direct Recruit Assistant Section Officers selected through the CGLE 2017 examination. All Assistant Section Officers who completed the Foundational Training Programme are required to submit a preference list of 10 ministries/departments – 5 from Group A and 5 from Group B – by June 5th, 2020. The options should be submitted in the prescribed format (Annexure-II) via email to a specified address. Late submissions will not be considered. Annexure-I lists the available ministries and departments categorized into Group A and Group B.

Subject: Posting of Direct Recruit Assistant Section Officers of CGLE 2017 Seeking options regarding.
The undersigned is directed to say that Direct Recruit Assistant Section Officers, selected on the basis of CGLE 2017, are to be allocated to various Cadre Units (Ministries/Departments).
2. Accordingly, all the Assistant Section Officers of CGLE 2017 Batch, who joined Foundational Training Programme are, hereby, directed to furnish 10 (Ten) options for Ministries/Departments, 5 (five) from Group A and 5 (five) from Group B in the order of their preferences. The Group-wise Ministries/Departments available for posting are given in Annexure-I.
3. The options may be exercised in the requisite format (Annexure-II) and emailed to vinay.kumar.dopt@nic.in indicating the subject as CGLE 2017 Options for Posting, Name $\qquad$ Rank. $\qquad$ by 5th June, 2020 (till 1:00 PM) positively. Any option given after due date and time shall not be considered.
