The Department of Personnel and Training has announced the placement of 12 Central Secretariat Service (CSS) officers into appropriate Selection Grade (Deputy Secretary) Select Lists. This decision follows recommendations from the Limited Review Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) convened by UPSC. The officers were initially included in the revised Select List of Grade – I (Under Secretary). A review was conducted to facilitate their placement in the next higher Grade of Deputy Secretary.

OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: Placement of officers belonging to Central Secretariat Service in appropriate Selection Grade (Deputy Secretary) Select Lists in consequence of their placement in respective Under Secretary Select Lists.
The undersigned is directed to say that based on the recommendations of Limited Review DPC convened by UPSC on 07.10.2019, 12 officers of CSS were included in the revised Select List of Grade – I (Under Secretary) vide this Department’s Order No. 5/13/2017-CS.I(U) dated 07.11.2019. Their placement in the revised USSLs necessitated review of their cases for placement in the next higher Grade of Deputy Secretary.
- Consequently, a review DPC was held on 12.02.2020 and on its recommendations, the Competent Authority has approved placement of the names of the officers in appropriate Selection Grade (Deputy Secretary) Select Lists of CSS as under:
