The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is structured into several key divisions. The organization includes the National Statistical Commission (NSC) Secretariat, the National Statistics Office (NSO), and various Directorates General for National Sample Survey, Central Statistics, and Data Governance. Additional Secretaries and Financial Advisors, along with a Joint Secretary & Chief Vigilance Officer, oversee different functional areas. Divisions cover a broad range of activities, including household surveys, economic and social statistics, national accounts, capacity development, administrative statistics, data informatics, research, media and publicity, and budget and finance. Special units handle international cooperation, parliamentary area development schemes, and matters related to the Indian Statistical Institute. Functions also include administration, vigilance, and infrastructure and project monitoring.
