Order Regarding Seniority and Year of Allotment for Shri Shree Prakash Gupta in IAS Select List 2020

O

Navigating the esteemed ranks of public service involves a meticulously structured system for career progression and seniority. Recently, a significant administrative decision was made concerning an officer’s inclusion in a highly anticipated selection list, solidifying their position within the civil service framework. This process, governed by stringent regulations, outlines how an officer’s years of qualifying service are translated into a ‘weightage’ that ultimately determines their seniority and year of allotment. For instance, an officer with a specific number of years of continuous service in the State Civil Service would have their seniority calculated precisely, ensuring fairness and adherence to established rules. This careful computation dictates their placement relative to other officers, impacting their standing and future career trajectory within the administrative hierarchy. Such orders underscore the transparency and rule-bound nature of government appointments and promotions, ensuring that every officer’s journey is mapped out according to predefined guidelines, making their ascent a testament to both their service and the robust administrative machinery.
