In a significant move to bolster the operational strength of a key government ministry, an official order has been issued to enhance the cadre of various secretarial and stenographer positions. This decision, approved by the competent authority, facilitates the integration of specific posts into the Central Secretariat Service and Central Secretariat Stenographers’ Service, specifically for the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. The expansion impacts roles from Director/Deputy Secretary down to Stenographer D, outlining both the previously encadred number of posts and the newly revised strength. For instance, Director/Deputy Secretary positions will increase from 3 to 4, Under Secretary from 9 to 12, and Assistant Section Officers will see a substantial rise from 17 to 43. Similarly, Principal Private Secretary roles are doubling from 2 to 4, Private Secretaries from 14 to 20, and Private Assistants from 11 to 20. Stenographer D roles are also expanding from 1 to 5. This organizational uplift brings the total cadre strength from 67 to 129, reflecting prior orders from the Department of Expenditure in 2014, 2015, and 2016 which had initially created these additional posts.
