A significant administrative decision by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions has officially incorporated key positions within the Central Information Commission into the broader Central Secretariat Service (CSS) and Central Secretariat Stenographers’ Service (CSSS). This pivotal move designates the Central Information Commission as a cadre unit for these services. As a result, five Assistant posts, belonging to the Assistants’ Grade of CSS, and four Stenographer Grade ‘D’ posts, from the Stenographers’ Grade ‘D’ of CSSS, will now operate under a unified administrative framework. This integration aims to standardize recruitment and service rules for these crucial roles, aligning them with established central government practices. The change will come into effect upon the annulment of any existing separate recruitment rules for these specific posts within the Central Information Commission.
