OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Select Lists 2003, 2004 and 2005 of Grade I (Under Secretary) of CSS – Details of Regular USs holding Duty Post in the CSS cadre or otherwise.

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s OM of even number dated 06.07.2009 on the above subject and to state that the requisite information regarding the number of Regular Under Secretaries who were holding the Duty Post of CSS between 01.07.2003 to 30.06.2004; 01.07.2004 to 30.06.2005 and 01.07.2005 to 30.06.2006 is still awaited from several Ministries/Departments. The said information is urgently required for intimating the vacancy position to UPSC, for each year to enable this Department to bring out the pending panels of Grade I of CSS. The exercise to fill up Under Secretary vacancies in all Ministries/Department is getting delayed for want of the relevant data.

1. It is once again requested that the requisite information as per proforma prescribed (Annexure) may kindly be made available urgently, latest by 7th August, 2009. The said information may be sent to this Department either through e-mail (address: dscs-1dopt@nic.in) or by fax or special messenger.
