OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: Posting/transfer of US of CSS and adhoc promotion to US grade – seeking options reg.
The undersigned is directed to say that subject to approval of the competent authority it is proposed to promote 33 officers to the grade of US on adhoc basis against the existing vacancies and superannuation on 31.1.2015. In addition, posting of two officers who have repatriated from deputation is also to be decided. A few vacancies have been kept vacant to accommodate officers on their inclusion in USSCs.
- The vacancies proposed to be filled up in the grade of US and the officers who are to be considered for posting / promotion are given in the annexure I & II to this OM. The officers concerned are requested to exercise their option for posting on transfer and on promotion latest by 19.1.2015. Maximum three choices within the available vacancies may be exercised.

While exercising option it may be kept in mind that those officers who have not completed the prescribed tenure under RTP for the promotion post i.e. five years in the current Ministry/ Department will not be transferred provided there is a vacancy exists to adjust the officer on promotion and only in the absence of a vacancy such officers will be transferred out. While exercising option, this should be kept in view.

If option is not received by 19.1.2015, it will be presumed that the officer has no specific choice and posting will be decided by the Placement Committee accordingly. Prior to exercising option, it should also be ensured that data in respect of the officer is complete in all respect in the web based cadre management system.
