A recent notification from the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Department of Personnel & Training, Government of India, announces a significant change for Ms. Manasi R. Sahay, an IAS officer from the HP:2009 batch. Effective immediately, she has been granted permission to change her name from “Ms. Manasi R. Sahay” to “Mrs. Manasi Sahay Thakur”. This new name will be her official designation for all governmental and administrative purposes. The notification, published in the Gazette of India, has been formally communicated to the Government of India Press for publication, and copies have been forwarded to the Chief Secretary and Accountant General of Himachal Pradesh, the Secretary of UPSC, and Mrs. Manasi Sahay Thakur herself. Internal distribution within the department has also been arranged, including uploading the notification on the department’s website.
