NOTIFICATION
Reference is invited to the Notification of even number dated 20th September 2017 relating to intimation of schedule of process for elections to the Board of Directors of Kendriya Bhandar.
- There were 14 candidates who filed nomination papers for contesting the election to nine posts of Directors. After scrutiny, nomination papers filed by all the 14 candidates were found valid. Out of these 14 candidates, Shri Virender Singh, whose name appears at S.No. 10 of Annexure to notification dated 20.9.2017 has withdrawn his nomination papers. Therefore, there are 13 (thirteen) eligible candidates contesting elections and their names are at Annexure. While four women candidates will be contesting for two Reserved seats for Ladies, the remaining 9 (nine) candidates will be contesting for seven Unreserved seats.
- Elections to the Directors of the Board shall now be held between 10 a.m to 2 p.m. on Sunday, the 15^{th } October 2017 in the Office of Kendriya Bhandar, Stationery Division, West Block, R.K.Puram, New Delhi.
- Shri Narender Singh Rawat, Section Officer and Assistant Returning Officer, Department of Telecommunications is authorized to conduct the elections on 15^{th } October, 2017. The counting of votes shall take place on the same day after the voting is over and the results would be declared by the Assistant Returning Officer. He would, thereafter, inform the results in writing to the Returning Officer on 16^{th } October and the formal notification would be issued by the Returning Officer by 5 p.m. on 16.10.2017 conveying the results of elections to Kendriya Bhandar and all concerned.
