This notification announces the appointment of one member from the Nagaland State Civil Service to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in the Nagaland cadre. The appointment is made on probation until further orders, based on the selection list under Rule 5(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Promotion by Selection) Regulations, 1955, read with Rule 3 of the Indian Administrative Service (Probation) Rules, 1954, and Rule 8(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954. The appointment fills vacancies for the year 2009, as determined in consultation with the state government. The individual appointed is N. Hangsing (Scheduled Tribe).

भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा (पदोन्नति द्वारा नियुक्ति) विनियमावली, 1955 के विनियम 9(1) तथा भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा (परिवीक्षा) नियमावली, 1954 के नियम 3 के साथ पठित भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा (भर्ती) नियमावली, 1954 के नियम 8(1) द्वारा प्रदत्त.शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, राष्ट्रपति चयन सूची उक्त विनियमावली के विनियम 5(1) के अंतर्गत भारत सरकार चयन सूची वर्ष 2009क (वर्ष 2009 की रिक्तियों के लिए राज्य सरकार के परामर्श से) द्वारा निर्धारित की गई रिक्तियों के स्थान पर नागालैण्ड राज्य सिविल सेवा के निम्नलिखित सदस्य को परिवीक्षा पर अगले आदेश तक भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा में नियुक्त करते हैं तथा उन्हें भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा(संवर्ग) नियमावली, 1954 के नियम 5(1) के अंतर्गत नागालैण्ड संवर्ग आवंटित करते हैं :-
