This notification announces that Prof. David R. Syiemlieh, a member of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), has been appointed to discharge the duties of the Chairman of the UPSC. This appointment is effective from January 4, 2017, and will continue until further orders, or until his term as a member ends on January 21, 2018, whichever comes first. The appointment is made by the President under Article 316 (1A) of the Constitution. The notification also includes a list of individuals and offices to whom a copy of this notification is to be sent, including Prof. Syiemlieh himself, the Pay and Accounts Office, and the Secretary of the UPSC, as well as the Guard File. The notification is issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India, and dated December 31, 2016.

करने के लिए नियुक्त करते हैं।
