This notification announces the reallocation of IAS officer Shri J. Syamala Rao from the Assam-Meghalaya Joint Cadre to the Andhra Pradesh Cadre. This decision is made in accordance with orders from the Central Administrative Tribunal, the High Court of Guwahati, and the Supreme Court, exercising powers under the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules 1954. This supersedes a previous notification dated 27.05.1999. Copies of this notification have been forwarded to the Chief Secretaries of Assam-Meghalaya and Andhra Pradesh, as well as the respective Accountant Generals for necessary action.

NOTIFICATION
In pursuance of the Order dated 20.06.2003 of Hon’ble Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) Guwahati Bench in O.A. No. 91/2002 and the Order of the High Court Guwahati dated 9.1.2006 in W.P No.1574/2004, read with the order dated 11.12.2008 of the Supreme Court in Review SLP No. 2145/08, the Central Government in exercise of the powers conferred by SubRule (1) of Rule 5 of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules 1954, allocates Shri J.Syamala Rao from the IAS Joint Cadre of Assam-Meghalaya to the IAS cadre of Andhra Pradesh. This Notification is issued in supersession of this Ministry’s Notification No. 13011/30/96/AIS (I) dated 27.05.1999.
