Notification on Inter-Cadre Deputation of IAS Officer Shri Manoj Kumar Sahoo

In a significant administrative move, the Central Government has approved the inter-cadre deputation of Shri Manoj Kumar Sahoo, an IAS officer from the 2006 batch of the AGMUT cadre. This experienced civil servant will now serve in the Odisha cadre for a period of three years. The decision, made in accordance with Rule 6(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954, received concurrence from both the Ministry of Home Affairs, which controls the AGMUT cadre, and the Government of Odisha. Notably, this deputation has been granted with a relaxation of existing policy. All concerned departments, including the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Chief Secretary of Odisha, have been directed to ensure the officer’s immediate relief and proper submission of joining reports. Strict instructions have also been issued regarding the timely hand-over of charge at the end of the three-year tenure to prevent any disciplinary action or break in service. Financial departments have also been alerted regarding salary payments.

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 6(1) of the Indian Administrative Service(Cadre) Rules, 1954 and with the concurrence of the cadre controlling authority of AGMUT cadre i.e. Ministry of Home Affairs and State Government of Odisha, the Central Government hereby accords approval for inter cadre deputation of Shri Manoj Kumar Sahoo, IAS (AGMUT:2006) from AGMUT cadre to Odisha cadre for a period of three years, in relaxation of the policy.

The Chief Secretary, Government of Odisha, Bhubaneswar w.r.t. their letter No. PT2-GAD-SER1-IAS-0009-2015-21124/AIS.I dated 23.07.2024 with the request to provide a copy of joining report of the officer to this Department. It is requested to ensure that the officer is relieved immediately at the end of the approved tenure of inter cadre deputation. The officer shall be liable to disciplinary action and break in Service, in case he does not hand over charge at the end of the approved period of deputation.

No. 13017/28/2022-AIS.I dated 15.11.2022, in case you do not hand over charge at the end of the approved period of deputation.
