An official notification has been issued, allowing Shri Ashish Kumar Chauhan, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the 2012 batch, to officially change his name. He will now be recognized as “Ashish Chauhan” for all governmental and official purposes, replacing his former name “Ashish Kumar Chauhan”. This change will be published in the Gazette of India, Part I, Section 2, and has been communicated to relevant authorities including the Government of Uttarakhand, the Accountant General of Uttarakhand, and the UPSC.
