Sub: Stenographer Grade ‘C’ Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2006 – Nomination of qualified candidates – regarding

The undersigned is directed to say that the final results of the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) 2006 have been declared by the Staff Selection Commission on 27.2.2008. Based on the results of the examination, the SSC has recommended 88 candidates (General-70, SC-17 & ST-1) for appointment to the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ for the Select List Year 2006. Accordingly, 88 candidates are hereby allocated to various cadres of CSSS as shown in the Annexure-I to this O.M. The dossiers of the candidates, as received from the Commission, are sent herewith and they may be retained, on their appointment, as part of their personal files. It is requested that before the candidates are actually appointed, particulars of their service etc. as shown in the dossiers may please be checked up from the original entries available in their respective Service Books. They may be appointed to Steno Grade ‘C’ of CSSS provided they are clear from vigilance angle.

  1. It is requested that the qualified candidates may be relieved immediately on receipt of a request from the cadre concerned, for appointment as Steno Grade ‘C’ in the CSSS cadre to which they have been nominated.

  2. No more ST candidates have been recommended by the Commission and the remaining unfilled vacancies belonging to ST category may be carried forward to the subsequent Select List in accordance with the instructions/rules in force.

  3. It is noted that in some cadres, there are no vacancies to appoint some of the candidates shown in the Annexure-I, as Steno Grade ‘C’ of the CSSS against the DE quota for the Select List Year-2006. It has, therefore, been decided to transfer some of the ad-hoc Stenos Grade ‘C’ from the cadre concerned to some other cadre, whose names are given in the Annexure-II and they may be relieved of their duties immediately to join the cadre concerned so as to make regular appointments.

  1. These qualified candidates may be included in the Select List of Steno Grade ‘C’ of CSSS for the year 2006 in the manner indicated in the CSSS Rules, 1969. Copies of appointment orders may be endorsed to this Department and the SSC.

  2. Receipt of this O.M. together with the enclosure(s) may please be acknowledged.
