OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Grade ‘D’ Stenographers Limited Departmental Competitive (Six Monthly) Examination, held in June & December, 2007-nomination of qualified candidates-regarding.

As provided in Rule 14 of the Central Secretariat Stenographers’ Service Rules, 1969, the Competitive Examination limited to the members of Central Secretariat Clerical Service for appointment to the post of Stenographer (Grade ‘D’ of CSSS) were held by the Staff Selection Commission in the months of June and December, 2007.

  1. On the basis of the results of the said examinations, the following candidates, who qualified the said examination, are nominated to different Cadres of CSSS for appointment as Stenographer (Grade D of CSSS).

  1. The dossiers received from the Commission are sent herewith and these should be retained on their appointment in the Ministries / Departments concerned as part of their personal files.
  2. Before these candidates are considered for appointment to the Grade D of CSSS, the particulars of service as indicated in the dossiers may kindly be verified from the original entries in the Service Book to ensure that they fulfill all the conditions prescribed in the schedule of the said examination. It may also be ensured that no vigilance case is either pending or being contemplated against them.

  1. The offer of appointment may be sent to them through the Ministry/Department. Copies of the offer of appointment may please be endorsed to this Department and Staff Selection Commission. The dates of their actual appointment as Stenographer (Grade ‘D’ of CSSS) may be intimated as soon as possible.
  2. The dossiers of the candidates who are found ineligible or who declines the offer of appointment or fail to join within a reasonable time limit may please be returned to this Department after formally canceling the offer of appointment, if sent.
  3. The seniority of officers appointed to the Grade shall rank inter-se according to the order of merit in which they are placed at the competitive examination on the results of which they are recruited, the recruits of an earlier examination being ranked senior to those of a later examination. The qualified candidates of June and December, 2007 Examinations may be included in Select List of Steno Grade ‘D” for the year 2006 and 2007 respectively.
  4. The receipt of this O.M. together with its enclosures may kindly be acknowledged.
