The Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) is convening a meeting with the Presidents/Secretaries of Recognized Central Government Employees Residents Welfare Associations on April 16, 2010, to discuss several key areas. These include the operational effectiveness of the Central Government Employees Residents Welfare Associations (CGERWAs), challenges in implementing existing schemes, and expectations from the Welfare Division. The meeting will also address feedback on Grih Kalyan Kendra (GKK) operations, the role of Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) in GKK centers, and access to sports facilities provided by the Sports Board under DOPT. The DOPT seeks input from these associations to improve welfare programs and address concerns of central government employees.

Subject: Meeting with President/Secretary of Central Government Employees Residents Welfare Associations.
Chief Welfare Officer, DOPT will take a meeting with the President/Secretary of Recognized Central Government Employees Residents Welfare Associations on 16.04.2010 at 3.00 PM in Room No. 385, Lok Nayak Bhawan, New Delhi. The agenda of the meeting will be as under:-
(i) Working of CGERWAs.
(ii) Problems faced in the execution of the existing scheme of CGERWAs and expectations from the Welfare Division of the Department.
(iii) Feedback /problems regarding functioning of Grih Kalyan Kendra in the area.
(iv) Involvement of RWAs in the functioning of GKK centers in the area.
(v) Views on availing of sports facilities maintained by the Sports Board under DOPT, by RWAs.
(vi) Any other expectation from the Welfare Division of the Department.
