CIRCULAR

Sub: INTER-MINISTRY BADMINTON TOURNAMENT (MEN & WOMEN) 2024-25

Central Civil Services Cultural & Sport Board (CCSCSB) is organising Inter-Ministry Badminton Tournament 2024-25 from 02.12.2024 to 13.12.2024 (10 working days except Saturday & Sunday i.e. 07.12.24 & 08.12.24) at AIIMS GYMKHANA, New Delhi. The Ministries/Departments desirous to participate in the tournament may send their entries in the enclosed prescribed proforma (Annexure-I) duly signed by the Welfare Officer of the Ministry concerned along with the entry fee and photocopy of Identity Card of all the players.

1. Last date for submission of entries in Central Civil Services Cultural & Sports Board, DoPT office, Room No. 361, ‘B’ Wing, Lok Nayak Bhawan, Khan Mkt., New Delhi – 110 003 is 22nd November, 2024 (Friday). No entries will be accepted after the due date i.e. 22.11.2024. Tournament will start with Men & Women Team Championship events and their draws will be displayed at the venue (AIIMS Gymkhana) on 29.11.2024 (Friday) after 2 PM.

2. The competition will be held in the following 21 events with restriction of entries from each Ministries/Departments. One Player can participate in maximum 03 events only except Team Championship event:

1. Entry Fee for the Team Championship is Rs. 1,000/-, Rs. 300/- for Singles and Rs. 500/- for Doubles Events, which may be deposited in Board’s Account through online/NEFT mode only. Board’s Bank details are as under:

Note: – No other payment mode will be accepted except above. The “name of player/ministry and game” may be mentioned in Remarks column while making the payment.

1. The Men Singles & Doubles (Qualifying) events will be open to new players/beginners only. The players who have represented the State or Central Secretariat Team in the All India Civil Services Badminton Tournament or have already qualified the Qualifying Event in the previous years need not participate in the qualifying events of the tournament. Players reaching up to Quarter Finals in the Men Singles & Doubles (Qualifying Events) will get automatic entry in the main draw of Open Men Singles/Doubles. Matches for Third Place for all the above mentioned events (except Qualifying Event) will be held between the losers of Semi Finalist.

2. All the players should reach the venue for their matches well in time as mentioned in the Draw/Time Schedule displayed at the venue, otherwise walkover rule will strictly apply against him/her and no further request will be entertained in this regard. Scheduled of the above events will also be available at the website of our Ministry i.e. (https://dopt.gov.in/about-us/wings-or-division-in-dopt/welfare-divisions).

3. The eligibility/non-eligibility conditions for participation in the Inter-Ministry Tournament have already been circulated to all the Ministries (Persons working in Corporation, Public Sector, Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector Banks/Undertakings (Like FCA, DTC, LIC, ESIC, CBSE etc.) will not be eligible to participate in the Inter-Ministry/AICS Tournament, even though administratively controlled by the Central Ministries). However, rules & regulations governing the eligibility conditions for the participation in the Inter-Ministry Tournament are available on the website of the Department of Personnel & Training (https://dopt.gov.in/about-us/wings-or-division-in-dopt/welfare-divisions).

4. Matches will be played on the courts flooring with Yonex PVC. Therefore, only Non-Marking Shoes will be allowed during the matches.

5. In case, at any time, it is found that a player included in the team is not eligible, the team would stand automatically disqualified from the tournament.

VERIFICATION CERTIFICATE

This office intends to enter a team for the Inter-Ministry Tournament/Competition. Consequently, I submit the entry form duly completed. I hereby undertake on behalf of the Ministry/Department to abide by the rules and instruction of the Tournament/Competition.
2. I certify that the players mentioned in this form who will play in the Inter-Ministry Tournament/Competition are employees of the Ministry. No member of the team is a casual/daily wage employee. All the players are eligible to participate in the Tournament/Competition as per eligibility criteria laid down by the Board. In case if it is found that any member of the team is not eligible and is included in the team, the team will be automatically disqualified from the Tournament/Competition without any notice to this Ministry. I also certify that all the players participating in the Inter-Ministry Tournament are physically fit. Although CCSCSB provides First Aid, any injury or mishap would not be responsibility of the Board.
3. I also undertake the responsibility to ensure that this Ministry’s Team after being entered in the Tournament/Competition will participate in the Tournament/Competition and at any stage would not refuse to participate or withdraw from the Tournament/Competition without prior approval of the Board.
