CIRCULAR

Subject: INTER-MINISTRY BADMINTON TOURNAMENT 2017-18

The Inter-Ministry Badminton Tournament 2017-18 will be held from 02nd January, 2018 to 12th January, 2018 (except Sunday i.e. 07.1.2018) at AIIMS GYMKHANA, New Delhi. The last date of entries is 26th December, 2017.

2. The entry should be sent in the enclosed prescribed form duly signed by the Welfare Officer of the Ministry concerned to the office of the CCSC&SB at the above said address. No entries will be accepted after the due date i.e. 26.12.2017. Tournament will start with Men Singles/Doubles (qualifying)/Women Singles/Doubles events and their draws will be displayed at the venue (AIIMS Gymkhana) on 01.01.2018 after 2.00 PM. The competition will be held in the following events:

7. Women Singles

8. Women Doubles

9. Mixed Doubles

10. Men Veteran Singles (45 yrs. & above)

11. Men Veteran Doubles (45 yrs. & above)

12. Women Veteran Singles (40 yrs. & above)

13. Women Veteran Doubles (40 yrs. & above)

14. Mixed Veteran Doubles

15. Men Singles (qualifying)

16. Men Doubles (qualifying)

(Composition of Men/Women Team Championship Event: Men-07 & Women-04 + 01 Manager)

3. Entry Fee for the Team Championship is Rs. 300/-, Rs. 75/- for Singles and Rs. 150/- for Doubles, which may be deposited in Board’s Account through online/NEFT mode only. Entry Fee may also be deposited through Credit/Debit Card in Board’s office. Board’s Bank details are as under:

4. The Men Singles/Doubles qualifying events will be open to new players/beginners only. The players who have represented the State or Central Secretariat Team in the All India Civil Services Badminton Tournament or have already qualified the qualifying event in the previous years need not participate in the qualifying events of the tournament. Players reaching up to quarter finals in Men Singles/Doubles (qualifying) event will get automatic entry in the main event of Men Singles/Doubles. Matches for THIRD PLACE for all the above mentioned events (except qualifying event) will be held between the loser of Semi Finalist.

5. All the players should reach the venue for their matches well in time as mentioned in the Draw/Time Schedule displayed at the venue, otherwise walkover rule will strictly apply against him/her & no further request will be entertained in this regard. Time scheduled of the above events will also be available at the website of our Ministry i.e. persmin.nic.in from 29.12.2017.

6. The eligibility/non-eligibility conditions for participation in the Inter-Ministry Tournament have already been circulated to all the Ministries (Persons working in Corporation, Public Sector, autonomous bodies/Public Sector Banks/Undertakings (Like FCA, DTC, LIC, ESIC, CBSE etc.) will not be eligible to participate in the Inter-Ministry/AICS Tournament, even though administratively controlled by the Central Ministries).

This Office intends to enter a team for the Inter-Ministry Tournament/Competition. Consequently I submit the entry form duly completed. I hereby undertake on behalf of the Ministry/Department. to abide by the rules and instructions of the Tournament/Competition.

I certify that the players mentioned in this form who will play in the Inter-Ministry Tournament/Competition are employees of the Ministry. No member of the team is a casual/daily wage employees. All the players are eligible to participate in the Tournament/Competition as per eligibility criteria laid down by the Board. In case if it is found that any member of the team is not eligible and is included in the team, the team will be automatically disqualified from the Tournament/Competition without any notice to this Ministry. I also certify that all the players participating in the InterMinistry Tournament are physically fit. Although CCSCSB provides First Aid, any injury or mishap would not be responsibility of the Board.

I also undertake the responsibility to ensure that this Ministry’s Team after being entered in the Tournament/Competition will participate in the Tournament/Competition and at any stage would not refuse to participate or withdraw from the Tournament/Competition without prior approval of the Tournament/Competition without prior approval of the Board.
