The central government has approved the inter-cadre transfer of Ms. Chahat Bajpai, IAS (Andhra Pradesh:2019) to the Telangana cadre, based on her marriage to Mr. Karnati Varunreddy, IAS (Telangana:2019). This decision was made with the consent of the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state governments, utilizing the powers granted by sub-rule (2) of Rule 5 of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954. This transfer facilitates the continued joint service of these officers within the Indian Administrative Service, accommodating their personal circumstances while maintaining the integrity of the cadre allocation system.
