This notification announces the approval of the inter-cadre deputation of Shri Basharat Qayoom, an IAS officer of the Jharkhand cadre, to the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory. The deputation is for a period of three years, or until further orders, effective from the date of joining the new position. This approval is granted under the powers conferred by Rule 6(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954, with the consent of the Jharkhand State Government and the Ministry of Home Affairs. It represents a change in posting for the officer, moving him between administrative cadres.

केन्द्र सरकार, भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा (संवर्ग) नियमावली, 1954 के नियम 6(1) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए और झारखंड राज्य सरकार तथा गृह मंत्रालय की सहमति से मौजूदा नीति में छूट देते हुए, श्री बशरत कयूम, आईएएस (जेएच:2016) की झारखंड संवर्ग से जम्मू कश्मीर संघ राज्य क्षेत्र में उनके कार्यभार ग्रहण करने की तारीख से तीन वर्षों की अवधि के लिए अथवा अगले आदेशों, जो भी पहले हो, तक अंतर-संवर्गीय प्रतिनियुक्ति को एतदद्वारा अनुमोदन प्रदान करती है।
