The Government of India has approved the inter-cadre deputation of Smt. Soumya Gupta, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Manipur-Tripura cadre, to the AGMUT cadre (Delhi segment). This approval is granted for a period of five years from the date she assumes charge. The decision was made utilizing the powers conferred by Rule 6(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954, with the consent of the Manipur and Tripura governments, as well as the Ministry of Home Affairs.

भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा (संवर्ग) नियमावली, 1954 के नियम 6 (1) दवारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए एवं मणिपुर व त्रिपुरा सरकारों तथा गृह मंत्रालय की सहमति से केन्द्र सरकार, सुश्री सौम्या गुप्ता, भा.प्र.से. (मणिपुर-त्रिपुरा:04) की मणिपुर-त्रिपुरा संवर्ग से एजीएमयूटी संवर्ग (दिल्ली खंड) में अंतर संवर्गीय प्रतिनियुक्ति हेतु उनके कार्यभार ग्रहण करने की तारीख से पाँच वर्ष की अवधि के लिए एतदवारा अनुमोदन प्रदान करती है।
