The Government of India, through the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, has officially approved the inter-cadre deputation of Ms. Khushboo Goel, an IAS officer from the Karnataka cadre, to the Punjab cadre. This deputation is set for a period of three years, commencing from the date she assumes charge, or until further orders are issued, whichever comes first. This decision was made in accordance with Rule 6(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954, and with the agreement of both the Karnataka and Punjab state governments. The notification also details the necessary actions for concerned authorities, including informing the Chief Secretaries of Karnataka and Punjab, the Accountant Generals of both states, and Ms. Goel herself, who has been cautioned about disciplinary action and potential service breaks if she fails to hand over charge at the end of her deputation period. In exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 6(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954 and with the concurrence of the Governments of Karnataka and Punjab the Central Govt. hereby accords approval for inter cadre deputation of Ms. Khushboo Goel, IAS (KN:08) from Karnataka cadre to Punjab cadre for a period of three years from date of assumption of charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
