Area Welfare Officers are reminded of previous directives to discontinue the use of the Ashoka Emblem on their official letterheads. Despite prior communications dating back to 1998, it has been observed that some officers continue to use letterheads bearing the Ashoka Emblem, which contravenes established instructions. This practice has been flagged and reinforced by consultation with the Ministry of Home Affairs. All Area Welfare Officers are therefore strictly directed to comply with these instructions and cease using the Ashoka Emblem on their letterheads immediately. A compliance report is required to be submitted urgently to the Department of Personnel and Training.
